Training & Development- Family Support
Designed and delivered training to family support, early childhood and K-12 professionals and staff at national, state and local conferences and private and public educational settings. Emphasis on helping attendees develop a strength-based approach to serving culturally diverse families.
Clients: Washington DSHS /ECAP, Family Support America, Washington Association for Education of Young Children, (WA AEYC), Washington Association for Multicultural Education, (WSAME), Puget Sound Educational Service District, Children’s Home Society and Family Support Washington.
Parent Education, Facilitation & Mediation
Worked directly with highly diverse families, (i.e., socio-economic levels, cultures, LGBT, special needs and court-ordered); trained in Positive Discipline and as a Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse.
Clients: University of Washington / School of Social Work, (Social Development Research Group), Northwest Hospital, Lifelong Aids Alliance, Child Care Resources, Ryther Child Care, Edmonds School District, numerous other child care centers, parent cooperatives and individual families.
