Lee Mozena grew up in Pennsylvania's Rust Belt, navigating between steel mill and farming communities. Back then, schools closed for the first day of deer-hunting season. Most families were European American, middle class and pro-union. In this traditional setting, the definition of mixed marriage was between a Protestant and Catholic. Career opportunities for women were limited.
Lee left Appalachia keen on reducing social and gender inequity. A life-long entrepreneur, her careers have included writing, training and development, from advertising-- in the fields of family support and education. See Her Story.
Teaching adults and seeing gaps between mainstream organizations and the people she worked with, led to the founding of Zena Consulting in 2009, (a DBA of Zenith Communication LLC). Read Her Story.
