FAQ

1. What do you do?

We help leaders communicate better in today's increasingly complex marketplace. We often look at change and challenges through the lens of gender, race, and socio-economics- key fault lines that are hard to talk about, yet they impact organizational  culture, productivity, competitiveness, and profit.  See ABOUT.

2. What does a white lady know about diversity?

Diversity isn't as simple as black and white. Lee finds and fixes communication gaps that compromise your best leadership efforts. She talks candidly about diversity and inclusion, and other underlying factors that can reduce misunderstandings, so teams can work together more easily.

3. How many languages do you speak?

One- English. Lee's expertise is strategic communications, USA culture, and systems analysis. She often 'translates' ideas across sectors or functions. Much of her cross-cultural work includes communicating about nuanced  differences; such as between  cultural groups or generations, (assimilation versus acculturation.)

4. What makes you unique?

  • Experience: 15+ years of skills and success.
  • Scope: Focus on USA cultures, systems, and people
  • Candor: Lee is candid and diplomatic. She'll say the quiet part out loud or diplomatically challenge your assumptions.
  • Ethics: We won't sprinkle equity dust on problems, but we work with clients at every level of understanding and implementation of DEI principles.
  • Nimble: Lee works directly with executives and teams. We also tap Associates and Affiliate Partners for additional expertise, or for larger projects.
  • Certified: by WA OMWBE as a DBE & WBE. We're also an awardee of Washington Department of Enterprise Services (DES) approved (pending) DEI Master Training Solutions Contract, (pending, July 2022).

-  New American leaders, directors, and business owners

6. Why work with you?

Clients say Lee brings out the best in people, and helps them feel comfortable exploring new ideas, making changes, or finding their leadership footing. She solicits divergent views, and supports a variety of stakeholder interests- especially when conflict arises.

7. Are you Muslim?

Lee is not. She works with everyone, including New American groups and faith-based communities. (Lee center, wearing hijab as a courtesy to Iftar dinner hosts at a Ramadan celebration in Redmond, WA).

She'll help you design strategies and build skills to engage culturally traditional or gender-separated employees or clients- native born or New American.
