CONSULTING
Leading the Change You Want to See
It's not just lonelier at the top, it can be harder to tune in. Employees may not share problems that impact your effectiveness. In today's increasingly multicultural USA, white men especially feel pressure to be the boss who "gets it". But who defines "it" and when you're passed the test? Executives I work with around DEI:

DEI Impacts Every Organization
Cultural intelligence is an aspect of leading that's very personal. Consulting with me (alone or with your team) is an opportunity to learn at your own pace and depth. The TOPICS & COURSES we offer (below) are a foundation to build on.
Leaders Never Stop LearningThe mono-cultural workplace is disappearing. Today's multicultural, multi-generational, hybrid replacement is here.
These new times require higher skills, with more emphasis on sharing power and less hierarchy. Deloitte's inclusive leadership model has six traits: - Curiosity - Cultural intelligence - Collaboration - Commitment - Courage - Cognizance |
Why Adaptive LeadershipAdaptive Leadership (AL) is a Harvard-based model designed to create common good across regions. I completed Leadership Eastside's two-year AL program in 2017.
AL helps people, organizations (any sector), and communities adapt to change and thrive- by dissecting dysfunction and using conflict as a guide to finding long-term solutions. Civic responsibility is a high priority for younger employees, making AL's emphasis on collaboration between organizations and communities especially relevant. See Harvard Business Review's 5 Principles Guide to Adaptive Leadership for a quick overview. |
Consulting Experience
Most of clients working on DEI strategies and skills prefer to remain anonymous. I also consult with leaders, teams, or boards that want a second opinion on their inclusion messaging or initiatives.
My on-going experience is with Leadership Eastside. Since 2022, I've supported teams as they work with a community partner to implement an Adaptive Leadership campaign before graduating from the program. |
Lee is a great consultant for adaptive change! She does a good job of determining when to push and when to lay back—which takes a deft touch when working with a group of leaders. She is supportive, knowledgeable, and responsive. |

- Stop worrying about making offensive or costly mistakes
- Improve employee engagement and team productivity
- Reduce the need to 'reinvent the wheel' on cultural inclusion
- Identify your cultural intelligence strengths
- Create new partnerships and relationships
- Retain talented people
